Why use an eSIM here

  • Data from the moment you land at Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang.
  • No SIM shop visit on arrival – buy and install before you fly.
  • Keep your home number for calls and bank texts.
  • Ideal for multi-city trips and tours.

How to get connected in 3 steps

  1. Choose your plan on our eSIM page and enter code CONNECT at checkout.
  2. Install the eSIM before you travel by scanning the QR code you receive by email (most recent iPhones, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones support eSIM).
  3. Turn on the eSIM line and data roaming for it when you land – your normal SIM can stay in the phone for calls and texts.

Travel tips

  • Ride-hailing apps are the easiest way to get around the cities – keep data for them.
  • Download offline maps before trips to the countryside and islands.
  • Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi before you fly.

Questions travellers ask

Can I use the eSIM in several Vietnamese cities?

Yes. A Vietnam plan works across the country wherever the partner networks have coverage. Coverage can be weaker in remote mountain and island areas.

When should I install it?

Install it a day or two before you fly, while you are on Wi-Fi at home. Then turn the eSIM line on when you land.

Does my phone support eSIM?

Most recent iPhones (XS and newer), Samsung Galaxy S and Z models and Google Pixel phones support eSIM. Your phone must also be unlocked. You can check under Settings: if you see “Add eSIM” or “Add mobile plan”, it is supported.

Can I keep my WhatsApp and my normal number?

Yes. The eSIM only gives you data. Your normal SIM and number stay in the phone, and WhatsApp keeps working with your usual number.
