What is a travel eSIM?
A digital SIM you install by scanning a QR code. It gives your phone mobile data abroad, with no plastic SIM card to swap.
Can I buy the eSIM before I travel?
Yes – that is the best way. Buy it online, install it at home on Wi-Fi, and switch it on when you land. For the UAE you must buy before you travel, because TransConnect eSIMs cannot be sold to buyers located inside the UAE.
Will I keep my WhatsApp and my number?
Yes. Your home SIM stays in the phone; the eSIM only gives you data, so WhatsApp keeps your usual number.
